Dorothy A. Andruss: 1942 – 2025
Dorothy A. Andruss, age 82, passed away Tuesday evening, February 4, 2025 at Casper Mountain Rehabilitation, Casper, Wyoming.
Dorothy was born October 28, 1942, the daughter of Colonel Everett Anderson and Anna (Wilson) Anderson. She grew up in McFarland Wisconsin, graduating from Monona Grove High School in 1961. Dorothy (Dode) met the love of her life, George Andruss of Madison Wisconsin in 1962, and they were united in marriage on September 12, 1964 in Madison, Wisconsin.
Dorothy is survived by one son, Donald (Tammera) Andruss of San Luis Obispo, California.; three daughters: Tammy (Mark) Heissner of Evansville, Wisconsin, Anna (Russ) Clark of Casper, Wyoming, and Lisa Conaway of Footville, Wisconsin; 22 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and one of the best sisters, Iva Jean Seeley of Paragould, Arkansas.
Dorothy was a longtime member of Jehovah’s Witnesses congregations in both Wisconsin and Wyoming, and was instrumental introducing her God, Jehovah to her children and extended family.
Dorothy spent her career in the medical field helping others as a CNA, and in her spare time, doing chores on her farmette. She loved horses, birds, dogs and actually every animal, and of course the sound and the aroma of the country farm.
A private family services will be held at a later date.

Cecil “Robbie Daniels” Brasiel: 1933 – 2025
Cecil “Rob†Brasiel passed away on January 30, 2025, at the age of 91. He was born in McLoud, Oklahoma, June 22, 1933. His family moved to California where he graduated from Hayward High School in 1952 and shortly thereafter, enlisted in the U.S. Air Force. He became an Army Airways Communications System Specialist (AACS) stationed at Johnston Island in the Pacific Ocean where he learned to utilize radio, voice and telegraphic communications. He acquired two service medals while in the Air Force; National Defense Service and Good Conduct.
Upon return to his hometown of Hayward, California, he attended Oakland City University and became the Music Director at La Vista Baptist Church where he met his wife, Sunday school teacher, Glenda Hooten. They married in 1957 and subsequently had three children. Cecil began a career selling insurance. As a musician, he continued his interest as a professional pedal steel guitarist and eventually went on the road with a traveling band including his younger brother Jimmy, creating a stage name along the way, Robbie Daniels. In 1975 Robbie settled in Casper, Wyoming, married his second wife, Judy Aguilar and they raised their two children together.
While well established in Casper, he ran his own business installing siding for Casper residents. Still playing music, Robbie traveled throughout Wyoming managing bands, performing at many events and became a member of various lodges within Casper, most notably, the Fraternal Order of Eagles.
Robbie’s obsession was his pedal steel guitar. He truly was one of the best. Playing music for his parents as young as six years old, he settled on the pedal steel at age 14 and never stopped playing until the age of 85, with his final performance being his granddaughter’s wedding. Robbie had a gentle soul as shown through his love and protection of his baby sister, Patty. He possessed a quick sense of humor, never made an enemy and was loved by everyone he came in contact with. Robbie touched many lives with his music and leaves an incredible legacy through his exceptional musical talent. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Robbie was preceded in death by his parents, William and Pearl Brasiel, both of Casper; and his siblings, Jimmy Brasiel and Patty Smith, both of California. He is survived by his five children: Charles Brasiel and Robert Brasiel, both of Carson City, Nevada, Lori (Timothy) Rickford of Pioneer, California, Michael (Katrina) Brasiel of Casper, Shona Brasiel of Casper; former spouses , Judy Brasiel and Glenda Hooten; many grandchildren; great-grandchildren; nieces; nephews; and cousins. Veteran’s Honor Memorial Service to be held at later date.

Mel Irvine Dunn III: 1940 – 2025
Melville “Mel” Irving Dunn III, 84, of Casper, Wyoming, passed away after a short illness on February 1, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.
Mel was born in Richmond, Virginia, the son of Mary Thornton Clark and Melville Irving Dunn, II.
He attended one of the oldest traditional military prep schools in the United States, Kentucky Military Institute, and went on to earn his Juris Doctor (JD) degree from University of Miami in Coral Gables, Florida.
After college, Mel became a skilled defense and trial attorney, practicing law in Miami and later in Casper, Wyoming. He married Patricia “Patty” Ann Stapleton in 1972 and they lived in Miami for nearly a decade until relocating to Casper. Mel and Patty were married for 45 years until Patty’s passing in 2017.
The couple had two children, Michele and Melanie Dunn, and loved to travel as a family. Mel was an accomplished pilot, having earned his private pilot’s license at 18 years of age, and often flew the family to vacation spots and family reunions.
When not practicing law or flying, Mel loved to play the guitar. He played all kinds of music, but especially loved Jazz and American singer/songwriters. He was known for often entertaining family and friends with his musical abilities.
Mel was a member of the Wyoming Trial Lawyers Association, the Wyoming Civil Air Patrol and volunteered with his wife Patty, and their therapy dog Bentley, at Central Wyoming Hospice and Transitions.
He will be remembered fondly for his quiet but strong nature, his keen sense of justice and his generosity.
Remaining to cherish Mel’s memory are his children, Melanie Dunn of Casper, Wyoming, and Michele Mitchum of Laramie, Wyoming; and his grandchildren, Christopher Laughrey and Max and Mason Holmes.
Preceding Mel in death are his spouse, Patty Dunn; his sister, Mary Dunn; and his parents, Melville I. Dunn II and Mary Thornton Clark.

Carl Richard Evans: 1972 – 2025
Carl Richard Evans, a beloved son, friend, and member of the Casper community, passed away on February 2, 2025, at the Shepherd of the Valley in Casper, Wyoming. Born on September 21, 1972, in Casper, he was known for his warm spirit and engaging personality.
Carl’s life was marked by his commitment to his personal growth and community service. He attended various educational institutions designed for special needs children, including the Child Development Center, Fort Casper, Woods, Dean Morgan, and Natrona County High School. His dedication to self-improvement paved the way for a fulfilling career with organizations such as NowCap and Independent Opportunities.
Throughout his life, Carl was actively involved in different activities and clubs. He had a passion for participation, enjoying everything from the Boy’s Club to 4-H and Special Olympics. As an Honorary Member of the Patriot Guard Riders, he demonstrated his love for camaraderie and community support.
Those who knew Carl celebrated his sweet, yet stubborn , nature, describing him as interesting and always eager to engage in the happenings around town. He had a remarkable ability to remember details about events, taking great pleasure in listening to the radio and watching television both morning and night. Football games were a particular favorite, and he found joy in both attending and viewing them from home. His passion for life was evident in his numerous hobbies, which included collecting license plates, t-shirts, caps, and football jerseys, as well as taking photographs and decorating his walls with tokens of his adventures.
Carl was often described as shy , yet outgoing, a unique blend that allowed him to touch the lives of many. Though he could be bull-headed at times, his kindness shone through, and he was known for never meeting a stranger. His generous spirit extended to his love of food, particularly trying new restaurants, and he made it a daily delight to enjoy a Pepsi, regarding it as his version of coffee.
He is survived by his loving mother, Rita Andrew; and stepfather, Arthur Andrew. He is also remembered fondly by his aunts, Phyllis Peterson (Jack) and Connie Stephens; as well as stepsisters, Brenda Ayers (Kevin) and Kim Andrew. Carl held a special place in the hearts of his cousins, their children, and his nieces and nephews.
Carl was preceded in death by his uncle, Larry Stephens; and his grandparents, Chester and Laura Stephens. Despite the loss, Carl’s vibrant spirit and cherished memories will continue to resonate with all who had the pleasure of knowing him. His legacy of kindness, enthusiasm for life, and commitment to his community will be forever remembered.
William Everett King: 1930 – 2025
William E King a long time resident of Casper passed away on June 20, 2025 in Mesa, Arizona where he was staying with his step daughter for the winter.
He was a truck driver and a restaurant owner. He loved trucking and was disappointed when he lost his CDL as his life revolved around his family and his trucks.
He loved to collect stuff that no one else wanted and create a useful item. He did beautiful wood work in his spare time. He loved to dance and entertain his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was married to Lurissa King who was the love of his life. They owned Vogue Cleaners.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Norris and Bernice King; and a sister, Betty; his wife, Lurissa; and two step-grandchildren. He is survived by his sons: Kalvin of Casper, Keith of Wisconsin, KC of Gillette; three step-children: Terry Klein of Casper, Sandy Greenley of Mesa, Arizona and Jack Klein of Bailey Colorado; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
His services will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints church at 1922 S. Poplar on Saturday February 15, 2025. The viewing will be held at 10 a.m. with the services to follow at 11 a.m. The burial will be at Memorial Gardens at 7 a.m. on Monday, Feb . 17.
